Lady Captain Trish Winnett
The Ladies competitions take place on a Tuesday between 10am and 1.30pm and some Saturdays between 1.30pm
and 3pm in summer. To accommodate working ladies the Tuesday competition tee times have been extended between 8am and 8pm. Competition tee times are booked online and four competitions may be booked in advance at any one time. The competition draws are advertised separately on the white board in the ladies locker room and once the draw is done, tee times booked online. In 2016 we have introduced four Alternate Day Competitions. Ladies can choose whether to compete in these competitions on a Saturday, or the following Tuesday. Knock out competitions, the Aillie Annan and Dinsdale Cup, are held annually and run throughout the summer season. The Ladies Club Championship takes place over two days each year in July. Ladies wishing to play in nine hole competitions are accommodated each week and the popular Forties Cup (a nine hole qualifying competition) is offered each year.
Winter competitions commence in November and run until March. These are fun comps and do not count for handicap.
The ladies section run 3 teams in Durham County Leagues. The A and B teams play off scratch and are usually made up of silver players. The Siveright team plays off full handicap and is intended for bronze players although silver players can play. Please volunteer to play.
